Covid 19 and Training

Covid 19 and Training

We are continuing to train in Wales within the government guidelines because our customers can leave home for specific work purposes. This means that our trainers, and our delegates, are allowed to attend our courses as our training cannot be completed from home. This training saves lives in the workplace and eases the pressure on the NHS.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Training FAQs

Many customers will have questions about how we will be ensuring the safety of everyone involved during our training courses. We want to reassure you that all situations have been carefully considered and our teams have received thorough training in order to ensure we operate to the highest standards of health and safety.

We have also provided answers to frequently asked questions about how we have made our training courses COVID-19 safe below.

Can I book to attend a training course now?

Yes. We are now running many of our training courses  You can book  by calling 01437 761321.

All courses will follow strict social distancing, hygiene and other safety precautions.

I have booked to attend a course, but am a vulnerable person or don’t feel comfortable attending – what should I do?

If you are a vulnerable person who is shielding, have had contact with someone who is symptomatic or has had a recent positive test for COVID-19, or someone in your household is symptomatic or has had a positive test for COVID-19 you should not attend the course you have booked.

We contact all delegates due to attend courses to check they do not have symptoms before they attend a training course with us.

Will I have to bring my own personal protective equipment (PPE) to the course?

Where the training course includes practical training outside the classroom candidates are required to bring their own clean PPE, including a safety helmet, overalls, hand protection and eye protection. If this applies to the course you are attending you will receive full details in an email ahead of the course.

Will I have to wear a facemask and if so, do I need to provide my own?

This is mandatory to wear in practical exercises where it is not possible to achieve social distancing requirements. It may also be worn at other times if the candidate prefers.

How many people will be on the course with me?

We have undertaken a careful and detailed review of each course and wherever practicable larger training facilities have been provided together with reduced candidate numbers  to ensure there is always a 2m distance (minimum) between candidates and between candidates and the trainer/assessor.
