The next skills Farming Connect application window is scheduled to run from Monday, 4 May until Friday, 26 June. Although it’s not yet clear when covid-19 restrictions will be lifted, Farming Connect published a website article on 24 April encouraging eligible individuals to consider submitting applications for training during this window.

The advice comes from Kevin Thomas, director of Lantra Wales, which together with Menter a Busnes, delivers Farming Connect on behalf of the Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. If the social distancing measures are still in place, some training courses will no doubt have to be postponed. However, there is a review to assess which courses can go ahead but through different delivery mechanisms digitally or online.
