Here’s a list of our upcoming courses – either booked in the diary or at the planning stage. Please remember that the Farming Connect funding window closes on 1 November. You can email us or give us a call if you’d like help with your PDP or funding application.
Land-based training and assessments
- Welfare of Animals in Transport – run daily – just ring to book
- Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue (5 day) – 21st to 26th October
- Basic Tree Survey & Inspection – 29th October
- Basic Maintenance & Cross Cutting (2 day) Chainsaw – 11th & 12th November
- Emergency First aid at work + Forestry – 27th November
- Cattle foot trimming – 2nd to 4th December
- Calf Management – 6th December
- Pesticides PA1, PA2, PA6 – dates throughout December and January
- Mole & Rabbit Control – January
- DIY AI – dates pending
- Felling Over 380mm (2/3 days) – date to be arranged
- ATV – date to be arranged
- Safe use of veterinary medicines – course full — more dates to be arranged
- Tractor driving 1 to 1 basis – courses run most weeks by appointment
- Mobility scoring – date to be advised
- Safe Use of Sheep Dip – awaiting date
- Telehandler – courses run most weeks by appointment
- Ride on Mowers – courses run most weeks by appointment

- Keeping your cash flowing
- Understanding accounts and financial statements – 31 October
- Introduction into agricultural business planning
Grounds maintenance
We are also running groundsman training for leisure and amenity organisations, such as golf courses, sports grounds and hotels. Training courses include:
- Brush Cutters
- Strimmers
- Ride-on mowers
- Basic chainsaw skills
